The Weight of Civilization:
From Concrete Foundations to a Green Future
今天，我受邀來到台北華山 1914 文化創意產業園區，見證台泥（TCC）走過 80 載，對台灣乃至全球所扛起的貢獻與責任。
Today, I had the honor of visiting Huashan 1914 Creative Park to witness TCC’s profound legacy and its evolving responsibility toward the world over the past 80 years.
重新定義「文明」：進步與責任的平衡
Redefining "Civilization": The Balance Between Progress and Responsibility
我們常將「文明」視為高樓大廈的密度或科技演進的高度，但其本質其實是「延續的能力」。水泥，作為現代文明最基礎的語言，築起了我們的家園，卻也讓我們在發展中正視對自然環境的過度索求。
「文明永續」這四個字，精準定義了過去、現在與未來的使命。真正的文明不應以消耗未來為代價來換取當下的繁榮。當我們享受科技便利時，企業與社會必須共同承擔起「守護者」的角色，將資源從「單向消耗」轉化為「永續循環」。
We often define "Civilization" by the density of skyscrapers, but its true essence lies in the "ability to endure." As the foundational language of modern development, cement has built our cities, yet it also forces us to confront the environmental demands of progress.
True civilization should not achieve prosperity at the cost of the future; instead, corporations and society must act as "Guardians," transforming resources from one-way consumption into a sustainable cycle.
從起點出發，實踐對土地的承諾
Returning to the Roots: Fulfilling Our Promise to the Land
這 80 年，台泥從台灣起步，發展為布局全球 20 國的國際企業。從國道一號到台北 101，都能看見水泥與人共同譜寫的城市記憶。在這個重要時刻，台泥回到起點——華山車站舊址，當年水泥進入台北城的歷史原點，展示如何以科技實踐永續。我在現場見證了幾項改變未來的核心創新：
TCC has evolved from a local enterprise into a global player across 20 countries. From National Highway No. 1 to Taipei 101, TCC is woven into our collective memory. Now, returning to the historic Huashan Station site, TCC demonstrates how technology fulfills its promise to the land:
